I just can't, as Baylor wants to stir the seeds, Jack wants to dig around the inside of the pumpkin, and Charlotte wants to eat it all.Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11154692504751436022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805504101401683454.post-19529876817454710302009-10-27T12:37:37.000-05:002009-10-27T12:37:37.000-05:00I made this pie yesterday! I can't believe they are stringing so many words together! Okay, so I followed your recipe (Martha's, I guess) but used real pumpkin, eggs from our chicken, cream from our cow and Amish butter (and kosher salt. and raw sugar. and whole wheat flour). It was very good; my first pumpkin pie ever! Thanks again for sharing.Janienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805504101401683454.post-70616435194769872742009-10-27T09:06:43.853-05:002009-10-27T09:06:43.853-05:00I may try this today. I may also try the pumpkin soup recipe since Nick works tonight and he can eat leftover mastaccoli. =) We may be all pumpkined out by the end of the day, but this pie sounds REALLY easy and tasty. I'll let you know how it turns out. Hmmm...my first pie experience.4cunninghamshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04199415002439439934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805504101401683454.post-32476943528822868352009-10-26T08:57:07.203-05:002009-10-26T08:57:07.203-05:00Rachel: You have never made a pie???!! (That's another thing not allowed in our home: pre-made pie crusts, although I do make rare exceptions for chicken pot pies.) Yes, you can use other pies with this crust, although I'd stick with fluffy things, like, yes, cream pies, meringues, and the like. This is a frequently used pie crust by Martha, so if you go to her website and search for it in her recipes, you'll find other pies that use it.

Do it!!!Christinehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11154692504751436022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805504101401683454.post-57887384557581828962009-10-26T07:46:12.592-05:002009-10-26T07:46:12.592-05:00Hmmmm...I might have to try it. My grandma has a coconut cream pie recipe that is to die for!4cunninghamshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04199415002439439934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6805504101401683454.post-38604426223284851192009-10-26T07:32:53.480-05:002009-10-26T07:32:53.480-05:00yum!yum!Tracyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14798842025735776242noreply@blogger.com
