Pizza Baby

Last night for dinner I made something incredibly easy and also incredibly messy: mini pizzas on English muffins.

Charlotte thought the instructions were to make a pizza of herself.

Seriously. Somehow she had cheese and pizza sauce oozing down her legs.

At least she was happy.

Also, I find it incredibly satisfying that, in these pictures, the Anne of Green Gables series is juxtaposed just over her left shoulder. (See it? See it?) This is all so very fitting, as Anne Shirley provided the inspiration and namesake for Charlotte's middle name.

(That would be "Anne." Just in case you weren't catching on.)

(As an extra parenthetical side note, you would not believe how popular a combination those two names are for both ladies of an older generation and new babies. I hear about it all the time, and I get a little exasperated, because come on! We were being original! Who names their daughter "Charlotte" any more? But then I find out that no one (at least no one I've encountered) spells it "Anne-with-an-E," which makes me feel all superior and safe. Because really, that's the only elegant way to spell it.)

Love, love, love the pics of C eating her pizzas. I´d bet she enjoyed them more than anyone in the family from the looks of things!
