My mother- and sister-in-law both have sent me emails today pleading for not only another blog post, but especially for more pictures of the kids. I don't think they are conspiring together, but I can't be sure where those two are concerned.
I admit, I've been taking a breather from blogging. I think everything that is summer demands such a break, and I've enjoyed using the time I would be blogging to instead play with my kids, read books, sew, and, most recently, travel. We are enjoying weather in the upper 70s here in Illinois, and who wants to sit in front of a computer and spew some narcissistic drivel with that kind of happy going on outside?
Not this mama, for sure.
Alas and alack, I have no recent pictures of the kids besides the few I posted here and here. Stephen mainly focused on pictures of derelict buildings while we were on vacation, and I mainly focused on carousing with the hooligans, ie, playing with my children.
I tend to do that a lot.
So instead content yourselves with some pictures we took a couple weeks ago when we went to our local public farm. I haven't posted these photos yet, although I did document Baylor's speech peculiarities from that visit with a video in this post. (Also, just to round out all of the links I'm including, many of Charlotte's adorable pictures from that trip to the farm have already been shared.) And since we again visited the same farm just this morning, I think I can get away with this half-a**ed attempt at blogging.
We ran out of quarters, so eventually Jack just contented himself with dusting off discarded feed pellets from the ground and giving those to the goats. The goats were surprisingly picky.
(Note: If you have any other suggestions or requests for posts, let me know. I'm sort of out of ideas.)

Thanks! Tell us more about your sewing.
Your blogging decreases and mine increases - imagine that!
Have you been out to any yard sales and bought anything worth blogging about? I always enjoy those posts, plus just the cute/funny things the children say - those always make me smile!
