I haven't filmed my kids on video in awhile, and so I thought I'd give it a try, despite our slow internet connection. I shot this last night (Saturday) when Charlotte was happily bouncing in her Jumperoo, a recent $10 garage sale find. (That seller was willing to bargain.) Oh, yes, and she likes to wear bunny ears. I thought maybe this video would just capture her and her happy 9-month-old self, but then Baylor and Jack quickly infiltrated the filming with, well, themselves. So it ended up being a true slice of our life. Come to our house at any given moment, and you'll find a scene similar to this.
Just for the record, the boys' linguistic skills have absolutely taken off these last couple of weeks. They can each identify every letter of the alphabet and their numbers (1-10), and Jack can count from 1 to 5 without prompting. You want to hear the best part? (Yes, you do.) Jack figured out on his own that "M" and "W" are basically the same letter, just flipped. And Baylor pulled a similar move with "6" and "9." Genius, right? I'm really impressed.
And Charlotte? Well, she thinks it's absolutely HILARIOUS when her brothers count. She dissolves into fits of giggles. And she is crawling around everywhere, so now she can finally keep up with them. She prefers the Army buddy style of crawling at this time, and it's so funny to sit on the couch and watch the boys zoom past me, hot on a mission, and then, sure enough, two seconds later Charlotte follows behind, scooting as fast as her little arms can propel her. Soon she'll be running right along with them, all three thick as thieves.
I love my kids.
