Stephen took these pictures of the boys playing at a neighborhood park a couple of weeks ago, before the grass started turning green and buds began appearing on the trees. It was unseasonably warm that day, and I find myself wishing the weather would snap out of its gloomy, drizzly, cool and damp pattern of the last week and decide to shun winter.
I forget. I'm in Illinois again.
(We lived in Mississippi for two and a half years before moving back here just over a year ago. I distinctly remember laying out on our apartment's porch on a blow-up bed for several days running during my strict bed rest while I was pregnant with the boys. I was wearing shorts and a tank top, sunning myself outside. So that means in early March it was warm enough to tan.)
(Sigh.)
(I must have looked really funny. An absurdly pregnant woman dragging a queen-sized blow-up bed onto her porch in the middle of the day.)
Despite the dreariness of today, enjoy these pictures. Jack is in the red shirt/brown vest combo, and Baylor is wearing the gray vest.

I love these pictures! I love how big the trees are in contrast with how little your little people are. So sweet! And I love the long, dark shadows. Baylor looks so serious about that rock. And Christine, the one with you, a little boy, a pink-clad girl, a book, brown grass and dark trees on a sunny day is PERFECT. Good job, brother!
Yeah, it's hard to take bad photos with a digital camera, cute kids, and a nice day. Also, Christine, sexy, sexy bookshelf. Way to flaunt your literary tastes.
