Today we undertook a very grand adventure: an outing to the Art Institute of Chicago where the kids very nearly outnumbered the adults. We deprived them of naps and asked them to behave themselves in a very adult setting, and they performed admirably. Charlotte wore her flower cap and got approximately 643 positive comments on her general cuteness factor, which was evidently at the Through the Roof level. Jack and Baylor had a great time playing in the children's portion of the museum, which some genius had designed with lots of running room. We came, we saw, we ate Giordano's pizza, and then we collapsed on the train ride home.
It was a good day.
Burning off energy on the train ride up.
Charlotte and famous art.
She was clearly not impressed with Monet.
Charlotte and my current favorite.
Sweet Jack.
Jack conked out for awhile,
despite the antics of his Gamma and brother.
It's still cold here. Charlotte enjoyed
being a mummy with her Gamma.
My folks and their baby girl.
Jack discovered the joys of putting
olives on his fingers.
Finally, I wanted you to see how Charlotte soothes herself.
She sticks two fingers in her mouth and crosses
her face with her other arm. So cute.

So glad to hear the day was a success!
Your little munchkins are going to be art connoisseurs before you know it! I can't believe how big the boys are.
