Rainy, Rainy Wednesday Activities

First, this is how the boys just entertained themselves for a happy half an hour:

They would have kept at it longer, but I didn't know how much more moisture my water-logged kitchen rug could stand.

Also, this is how I found Charlotte just a few moments ago:

It's important to know that she started out on her back, underneath the activity mat's hanging toys. So somehow she moved (Wriggling? Preliminary crawling?) out from under the arch, onto the wooden floor, and underneath the armchair before then flipping onto her stomach. This whole procedure took no more than two minutes. Being on her stomach makes her madder than a hornet, so her irritated squawks alerted me to the situation. While I took the time to take a couple pictures, she managed to wedge herself further underneath the armchair by doing some crazy backward-crawling-mermaid wriggling. It was pretty fantastic to witness. I hope this is how she chooses to get around in her early months of mobility.

This is how we are spending our rainy, rainy Wednesday. What about you?

My daughter can give her toys a "bath" in the sink for and hour or two at a time. She loves it. Love the pictures, glad you are getting better.

Something's funny. There are all just now showing up! If I had only known that I could be enjoying Case Family activities yesterday afternoon, believe me, I'd have been there!

I'm going to have to try the sink-playing game with Oliver. He's done it a few times on his own with the upstairs bathroom sink, but usually manages to turn just the hot water on and hurts himself. Maybe the kitchen sink is safer. :)
