Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
...The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told. (Luke 2:13-14, 20)
May we glorify and praise God just as those shepherds. We are part of a magnificent and astounding story, the most miraculous story ever told. Let us come together, celebrate Christ's birth, and spread the message: Christ is born, Christ is risen, we are saved from our sins!
Merry Christmas, folks. Much love to you and yours.
ps: Despite the miraculous nature of the celebration today, prosaic and earthly things like discipline and child-rearing must continue. From my post upstairs, I just heard my husband admonish one of the boys for throwing a toy hammer at Charlotte: "No, no! You don't throw hammers at your sister!"
Peace and joy, y'all. Peace and joy.
