Haircuts

We did it! We successfully made it to the hair salon, convinced the boys that it was a cool place, and lured them into the twirly chairs. Actually, we were lucky--they didn't need much luring at all and were actually great clients. Only toward the very end of each haircut did either of them start to fuss, and really, could you blame them? It's a long time to wait while someone does mysterious things with scissors around your head. All in all, they were troopers. Stephen didn't really get any good "after" shots, as honestly it's hard to tell a difference. Really, we were just going for a trim. Well, when I say "we," I mean I was just hoping for a trim. Stephen was appalled at my attachment to the curls. (The curls are why I carted us all to a salon in the first place; if I had children with stick-straight hair like mine, I wouldn't hesitate to cut it myself.) Luckily, I had another stylist, a woman who happens to be a mom to a little boy with similar curls and ringlets, backing me up, so Stephen was overruled. The curls stayed and the mountain man look went.

Jack is such a good client...
with such a beautiful face!

The many full-length mirrors and ceiling fans
kept them both very entertained.

Starting to fuss...

Jack hiding from I-don't-know-what.

Baylor's turn!
(I am not ashamed to admit
that I have beautiful children.)

(That's me holding Charlotte in her carrier
in the background. She was a good client, too.)

Baylor twirling his brother afterward.

You DO have beautiful children!

I love those curls, too, and I am happy that they were not entirely snipped off.

See you soon!
